It’s a dog’s life
As true dog lovers, we prioritize the wellbeing and year-round care of our dogs over all sporting ambitions. Our farm in Gargnäs, Västerbotten, is in the middle of the forest, near the mountains. The climate here is ideal for sled dogs all year round.
In the summer, the directly adjacent lake is where the dogs cool down after long hikes and have the opportunity to swim. Our modern and secure kennels are built in accordance with the high Swedish animal welfare standards.
Elevated benches provide shade in the summer, while the integrated wooden floor makes for a pleasant place to lie. The kennels are insulated against the extreme cold of the winter. A large run means the dogs have plenty of space for fun and games. To strengthen personal contact and be even more part of their two-legged friends’ daily lives, the dogs can, of course, take turns at staying overnight in the house with us. Individually bookable husky tours in summer and winter increase the dogs’ social contacts and offer a welcome change to our athletes’ training schedules.
For medical care, we have an experienced veterinarian nearby who specializes in sled dogs.
