Husky wilderness expedition / 8 Days

Way, way out: The wilderness expedition takes us far from civilization for almost a week. Our sled carries all we need in the way of supplies. And all we need for a real adventure is already there: stunning winter landscapes with mountains, frozen lakes, and primeval forests – plus huskies who want to run and run, glowing Northern Lights, the sense of wind and snow in your face, warm campfires, unique experiences.

Witnessing the vastness of Lapland on a dog sled and with your own husky team is an indescribable and intense experience. On our wilderness expedition, we explore the fascinating landscape of the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, one of the biggest nature reserves in Europe.

How far we travel every day depends on the weather conditions, and the level of difficulty can vary from stage to stage. Along the route, we sleep in either private or public cabins. We have a tent with us as a backup.

No previous experience is necessary to take part in the tour, although you need to be healthy and have a good level of fitness.

Day 1

Transfer from Arvidsjaur Airport to our Vindelfjäll camp, evening meal together and overnight stay in a simple cabin (with electricity)

Day 2

Get to know our huskies, the theory and practice of mushing (including first dog sled tour), preparation and planning of our expedition, meals together, and overnight stay at the camp

Days 3 – 7
